Want to stay young forever? Belly dance !
Have you ever wondered how belly dancers keep their shape and looks even well into their older years? I believe the benefits of belly dancing are miraculous. Belly dance is a healing art and a wonderful way to get in touch with your body and connect with your spirit. When you are happy, your beauty just radiates outward.
A few days ago I was looking at the 1970’s belly dance page and I saw a photo of Lee Ali when she was young and performing onstage. It was maybe in the 70’s and she was 18 years old. I kid you not she still virtually looks the same. The same goes for many of my teachers who are well into their late 50’s, 60’s and 70’s now, and they still dance and perform and teach. Which leads me to today’s vid. This woman is 100 years old and still dancing and has so much energy and vitality. 100 wow! I can’t imagine. But God bless her soul. I know that belly dancing keeps you young. I have seen it with so many people. It may not be only belly dancing for sure, (I also saw a 90 year old yogi last week) but I believe that the feminine belly dance art has a lot to do with how young we stay mentally and physically.
It’s also finding something in your life that inspires you and makes you happy.
So if you want to stay young forever, find that thing that you love. Whether it’s belly dance, yoga, or any other kind of dance or sport. It will keep your brain working, your body limber and you will have a weekly dose of endorphins to keep you happy.
